Continuing education

“Academic freedom is the freedom to learn as much as one could ever want.” This quote by Rudolf Virchow describes one of the aims of the DGP: to work continuously to promote and improve training and education in the field of pulmonology. In this spirit, we have founded a continuing education academy with an extensive program for doctors and other healthcare professionals. Our events meet the criteria for mandatory continuing education for doctors, and the annual congress is an important forum for exchange with other professionals. We also offer certification courses in respiratory therapy for nurses and physiotherapists. Our continuing education program includes the latest research findings and treatment standards, and focuses strongly on building up occupational competence.

The academy is under the leadership of PD Dr. med. Mathias M. Borst.
